Volker Wieprecht
Volker Wieprecht studied German philology, philosophy and classical philology before working as a reporter for Sender Freies Berlin (SFB) from the mid-1980s. In 1987 he began with the moderation of children's and youth programs. In April 1990, the SFB youth radio station Radio 4U went "on air"; Wieprecht was there from the beginning as a morning presenter. In the period 1992/1993 he interrupted this activity to work as a freelance correspondent in the United States. In 1993, Wieprecht began working with Ken Jebsen for Radio Fritz, the youth wave of the Ostdeutscher Rundfunk Brandenburg (ORB). Together they presented the morning programs. In 1994, Jebsen left Radio Fritz and moved to the Second German Television (ZDF).

Also in 1994 Wieprecht was elected by the Musikexpress the best German radio host. At about the same time he got to know the editor Robert Skuppin at Radio Fritz. In him Wieprecht found his congenial new partner on the microphone. In September 2013 Wieprecht received the German Radio Award in the category "Best Moderator".

Mario Biondi

"For Blues in Italy Zucchero is responsible, for Schmalz Eros Ramazzotti and for Soul Mario Biondi [...]" wrote the Nürnberger Nachrichten about this special voice.
With three number 1 albums Mario Biondi is one of the most successful singers in Italy. And that with a music that is not Italian at all: Soul. His extraordinary voice has also made him known internationally. The star is convinced: "As a child Mario Biondi must have fallen into the cauldron with Barry White magic potion [...]." The soul musician comes from Sicily, where he grew up in a very musical family. His grandmother was an opera singer and his father is the author of important Sicilian folk songs. Mario came into contact with the music at a young age and sang the first time at the age of twelve everywhere in Sicily. But his big passion is "Black Music" and the story of James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Al Jarreau, Earth Wind & Fire is so deeply rooted in him that he will conjure up a wonderful evening with his magnificent band in Berlin.

"Soul music on top of that in English, you do not necessarily connect with Italy, unless the singer is Mario Biondi."
Dresdener Morgenpost

Cosmo Klein &
THE PUNK GUILLILLA
Four years after their debut album "Let's Work", THE PHUNKGUERILLA, which has matured from the network of musicians to the band, releases its second longplayer under the creative patronage of COSMO KLEIN and the musical direction of CLAUS FISCHER. Song-oriented funk as the most important part of her work has remained on "Kingdom On Fire", and yet the approach to the long-planned project album was so different this time around. Let's work "track by track" on Cosmo's computer and his longtime companion Claus Fischer, so they decided early on to record the second work as a kind of reminiscence of the good old days of the radio live with band in the studio. For the six solid THE PHUNKGUERILLA members as a seasoned live musician of honor. So they met for a week in the Westphalian idyll of the RED HORN DISTRICTS to record the songs. With HardyFischötter on the drums, Claus Fischer on bass and Hanno Busch on guitar as well as Till Sahm and Tobias Philippen on the keyboards, all nine pieces were in the box after only a short trial period and a few takes.

Pat Appleton
Photo: Katja Kuhl
That with the pop star is probably once again pure irony. Anyway, Pat Appleton can say that pretty well and sing things with their pleasant alto voice, which should not be taken too seriously. She has become known internationally as the female lead vocalist of the Heidelberg bossa-jazz-soul collective De-Phazz. In 1999, the group made a breakthrough in Germany and Central Europe with a play called "Mambo Craze," which Pat Appleton and De Phazz founder Pit Baumgartner had come up with together. In fact: a mambo. Cool and sophisticated and casual and retro presented. But somehow with a crooked, sarcastic grin. The song went up and down in the clubs, as well as in the new economic miracle lounges, the boutiques and finally in the television commercial: the secret summer hit at the turn of the millennium "I still earn today," smiles Pat Appleton, "there's always some soup of soup that fills the Mambo. "

Clou Brio
Clou Brio is here! Loosely fluffy and snotty, he walks through Berlin's urban jungle. The music he creates is danceable or invites you to dream. In his texts everyone gets his fat away sometime. And if he does not think of anything new, then he simply drives a few laps of the Ringbahn.
Since 2012, the singer-songwriter has been touring the streets and stages of the capital. His motto: Finally rich pop music with refreshing lyrics and honest music. He proves this on his debut album "Flying Fish", which was completed in 2016. Now he is ready to finally start. Unadulterated and with an eye for the weird imperfections, he sings of vitality, longings, bizarre everyday situations and fellow human beings that make our world so special.

Freddy Fischer &
HIS COSMIC ROCKTIME TAPE

There are such wonderful weirdnesses that you just have to give your ear to with your heart. One is a certain Freddy Fischer - this brings great 70s funk with German lyrics and is considered in informed circles as the currently grooviest music show in Germany.
Well then the story of said Freddy Fischer is even more miraculous than the jazz adventures of Mr. Lehmann. Growing up in the Berlin of the 60s / 70s, surrounded by concrete concrete canyons, gray monolithic seas, there was not much that could inspire the young fisherman, except his love of American soul and his admiration for intelligent East German pop songs by Manfred Krug or Veronika Fischer. Fellow travelers, with whom he could share his passion, Fischer found fast. There were not many performances. First, we went from family party to student party and from there back to the company party. The DJ was just invented and consequently a tremendous repertoire of music of that time accumulated: Soul by Isaac Hayes, Beat from Liverpool, Schlager etc.
Only that was not what Fischer wanted, he wanted to be free, play his own pieces, describe life and love as he feels them, and so he did the step of changing his life.
With his Cosmic Rocktime band he started in the jazz clubs of the city; Here he could finally be what he was born for. A real soul man! He quickly made his name, because only Fischer played this incomparably incorruptible German Disco Soul and only Fischer knew how to entertain. ,

Young Gun Silver Fox Diane Birch
Bryan Ferry just invited Diane Birch to support much of his current European tour. As her friends of Young Gun Silver Fox come to Germany for a few concerts just after the end of the tour and they cross the itineraries, it was clear: Let's play two shows together.
In Leipzig and Berlin, Diane Birch will now open the concerts of Young Gun Silver Fox with a short solo set.

Max Mutzke

Ticvaniu Mare
Ticvaniu Mare is a seven-headed brass band from Berlin. The music takes you on a fabulous journey through the most diverse regions of Eastern Europe. From Ukraine to Moldova, Romania to the Balkan regions of Serbia, Macedonia and Bulgaria. The versatile repertoire consists of traditional Roma and Yiddish songs whose originality Ticvaniu Mare picks up and interprets in his very own way.

An intoxicating mix of tunes from a different time and world that pulls you away and invites you to dance.

Salon Orchestra Pankow

Since 1992, eight Berlin musicians (all teachers of the Béla Bartók music school) have been combining the joy of playing this diverse and intoxicating music.
At the beginning of the 17th century, the salon was called a reception room, where people of the same status and education were in the same class.
Salon music was more for moody entertainment, while house music was more devoted to artistic edification.
The repertoire includes ambitious opera and operetta paraphrases as well as sentimental character pieces. Fashion dances like waltz, tango, mazurka or a polka are indispensable.
The palette of composers ranges from Antonin Dvorak through Fritz Kreisler to contemporary Gerhard Paul, who arranged a number of titles for this special orchestral ensemble.

The Teachers

The band was founded only this year and consists exclusively of teachers of the music school "Bela Bartok", who teach together there and know most of them already for many years of the stage. She plays rock, pop and jazz from the most diverse fields and wants to present with her songs the different possibilities that the different band instruments offer. Therefore, the band also plays in frequently changing occupations.

Julia de Boor
I play musical plays for children from 2, 3 or 4 years, perform as a clown in private and public celebrations on a smaller scale and work as a theater teacher with children, adolescents and adults.

Most of the pieces are based on children's books and have been freely rewritten for the stage afterwards.
I design the scenery, play the song and sing my own songs to self-composed cello music or accompany myself live on the ukulele - "Theater Diversity" - my name is program.

Christos Anastasopoulos

Lucy realizes that Karl-Heinz is comfortable in his "cozy mess", also Karl-Heinz gets to know the advantages of Luzie's need for order ...

The touching story of love and friendship with a happy ending.

Oliver HJ Grice
The Enchanting Olli an Encouragement Mit Clown program, for all ages. Together with the kids, Olli visits the Imaginary Magic Shop, and when all have the magic glasses on, great things are discovered in the magic shop. There is a throw-off ball, living magic gloves, a Balancierhüse, a super-heavy throwing stone. A juggling number that would not work without the help of the kids, and in the end there is also a rabbit who can change his color. Salmon salvation guaranteed.

Theater Nimú
We are the theater Nimú a Berlin group that plays since 2013 children's theater among others.

Federal Police Orchestra Berlin / Saxophone Quintet
In total, 46 professional musicians belong to the Federal Police Orchestra Berlin. The orchestra as well as the various ensembles perform at official events such as swearing-in, government-level or charity concerts.
The repertoire ranges from classical music, jazz and swing over traditional brass music to entertainment and chamber music. The focus of the Berlin Federal Police Orchestra lies in the symphonic wind music. At charity concerts, the musicians perform with a two-part program. In the first part mainly concertante works are listed. In the second part, however, the upscale entertainment music is in the foreground.

Chief Conductor Gerd Herklotz has been in charge of the orchestra since February 2018.

First Grief - circus trilogy after Franz Kafka
by and with Anja Gessenhardt and Jana Korb
A trapeze artist who escapes the floor, a circus director who has cause for alarm and a stage worker who falls in love with an imagination: these are the protagonists in the play "First Suffering: A Circus Trilogy by Franz Kafka".
One story - three very different interpretations: as acrobatic reading, on the trapeze and on the vertical pole (Chinese Pole).
Each piece is played from a different narrative perspective and opens up a new, sometimes unexpected view of the action.
The two female electors Jana Korb and Anja Gessenhardt are involved with circus in literature and bring this back to the circus as theatrical performances with a lot of humor and high artistic skills. Or in the park ...

Literature for what, happens
"Literature for What Happens" is a group of writers who have teamed up to help people escape while writing. On typewriters, the authors write texts for the public as they wish: poems, short stories, letters, oracles, horoscopes ... The donations received go to medical organizations that support people fleeing the area, who work in the field Providing assistance, distributing food and clothing, making it possible to continue traveling and providing financial and legal support to people. "Literature for what happens" was founded in 2015 by Julia Weber and Gianna Molinari in Switzerland and has been organized in Berlin since 2018 by Isabel Wanger and Paula Fürstenberg.
Certainly detuned

Two thoroughbred musicians and
-komödianten. The audience is enchanted by the brilliance of the sharpness and the skill at the piano and from the tepdance AUF! And by the way, we also learn some of the common life of the two jugglers in their tour bus. And who needs a piano tuner for that? Because that's guaranteed VOTED!
What do a Swabian shipping agent and a Canadian helicopter craftsman have in common? Four children. Two dogs. An 87 year old piano. AND (!), .. both appear together at the Kunstfest Pankow! (The dogs are not meant ..) While the Canadians are strumming; .... sing, step, and hover, the Swabian, --- on the piano. , ... old German cinema tunes, a bit of ragtime, ... 'un-plugged' and unreinforced.

Elfriede Peil
(Photo: Christian Mattis)
What would the world do without Frau Elfriede Peil? Petite she comes along, refreshing fiery she remains in memory, it is her heart, as many passers-by as possible to knit. Because she says: knitting connects. Who would know that better than the bittersweet lady? With robust charm, she even attracts neuters. Her red knitwear is an eyecatcher and invites to knit. Knit a row for the old lady! Selina Senti, Swiss, lives in Berlin, is a pantomime and has already performed in Paris, Warsaw, Germany, Liechtenstein and Switzerland. Last year she was engaged as an actress at the Deutsche Oper Berlin.

Axel Dedering

Since the age of twelve, Axel Dedering has not let go of magic! The dream of a great career would soon be over - when he made his first TV appearance at the age of fourteen, he was so bad that Sonja Kraus laughed at him in her talk "Talk Talk Talk"!
Nevertheless, Axel continued and only a few years later became so good that in 2005 he was awarded a German magic mastery title! There followed several awards - including the Magic Comedy Award in Sankt Moritz and the Kleinkunstförderpreis of the state of Baden-Württemberg, stage shows and countless appearances in various television programs. Years later, when he was a guest on a TV show with Sonja Kraus, the story made his first TV appearance laughable.

Mighty Mike
For more than 30 years, the seasoned blues musician has performed in various formations on European stages. Initially, in larger bands, Mike has been more and more engaged in playing several instruments simultaneously over the years. The end result is now a one man band that sounds like vocals, harp, guitar bass and drums after a full band. Mike presents his blues on a drumstick. In years of work, he has designed both a Bobber-looking drums, as well as a bespiellbares motorcycle, which is an absolute eye-catcher for every event.

Berlin

Fascination Handpan

Handpan sounds, atmospheric harp and guitar playing are the basic colors from which the musicians of Klangart-Berlin, Wolfgang Ohmer (handpan / guitar / Kalimba) and Peter Stein (handpan / guitar / percussion) and Bhavani Benninghoven (harp / vocals) their soundscapes and develop sound collages.

Relaxed grooves, melodic and percussive. Music that takes you into inner landscapes.

Felice and Cortes
In a unique way in the world, the two Berlin artists combine vocals, juggling, scenic elements and their own written songs to create a "show concert" in a class of its own. They convince with theatrical talent, funny anecdotes and involve the audience in their own charming way into their world. A performance that makes it difficult to avert your gaze - after all, you do not want to miss a smile, a trick, or even a small gesture. "Selling Stories" is the new street and cabaret show of the two sympathetic globetrotters in which they tell their audience of the stories they have collected in their suitcases on the countless trips.

Be amok or coma

The eventful days of 1989, Monday's demonstrations in Leipzig, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the last days of the GDR. For many days of liberation, days of hope. But what if your life was shaped by the Wall, what if all you believed in, what you were guarding through your life, is coming to an end these days. How did the people feel who believed in the GDR, who knew nothing but East Berlin and the Wall?
Andrea Czesienski poses in "Amok or Koma sein" to these questions: How did someone think of the wall on duty, what were his questions, his fears, what may he have thought in the last few days on the wall, the last days in uniform.

Dirk Zöllner
breakneck speed
Eulenspiegel Verlag

Dirk Zöllner can write songs, sing and inspire the audience from the stage, you know that. That he is also a gifted storyteller, he has proven in his autobiography. He describes himself as a "free-lance survivor." His unconventional views on art and life he puts in the pointed columns of this book for discussion. He makes the bells ring for "Silly," confesses that all ordinary music consumers almost always hear the best of their own lives, asks what soul-singer Seal wants with an icicle, and sticks to immutable truths, such as: "Right Bands are gangs, founded by pubescent boys who are very much in the mood for life and the girls.

Dirk Zöllner, born 1962 in Berlin. Singer, songwriter, composer. In 1984 he founded the band »Chicorée«, 1987 »Die Zöllner«, participated in numerous music projects of international bands, realized solo projects and is still on the road with the »Zöllner«. In 2012 he published his autobiography »The Far Islands of Happiness«.
